How we decide what to cover, how we check it, and what happens when we get something wrong.
Every VERSOLLY story is written by a named member of our team or a commissioned freelancer, and edited by a second editor before publication. Bylines are real people; we do not publish anonymous or machine-generated articles as editorial content.
Writers may use software tools for research, transcription or spelling, as most newsrooms do. The reporting, judgement and writing are human, and an editor is accountable for every published word.
We cover what we think is interesting, useful or important to our readers: collections, designers, ideas and objects. Popularity and search demand inform our planning, but they do not decide it. We never accept payment, gifts or advertising commitments in exchange for coverage.
When we recommend a product, an editor has either used it, examined it in person, or — where stated — assessed it from reliable specifications and our experience of the category. We say which. We include products at a range of prices and from retailers regardless of whether they have an affiliate programme.
We may receive samples from brands for review. Receiving a sample never obliges us to write about it, or to write positively. Samples are not resold.
Editors verify names, dates, prices, quotes and claims before publication, using primary sources wherever possible. Where we rely on a document or study, we link to it. Prices and availability change; we note the date we checked and update guides regularly.
We correct errors of fact promptly and transparently. Significant corrections are noted at the end of the story with the date of the change; the “Updated” date at the top of the story is changed for any substantive revision.
To report an error, email corrections@versolly.ru with the story URL and the details.
Some links on VERSOLLY are affiliate links: if you buy through them, we may earn a commission. Affiliate relationships and advertising do not influence our editorial coverage, and they never decide whether a product is included or how it is described.
Commercial links are labelled and use rel="sponsored". Sponsored or partner content is always clearly marked as such and is never presented as independent editorial. Full details: affiliate disclosure.
We only publish images we have the right to use, and we credit photographers and sources. Images are not altered in ways that mislead — retouching beyond basic colour and crop is disclosed.
