The short version: some links earn us money. They never decide what we write.

Normally, no. The price you pay is set by the retailer and is typically the same whether or not you arrive through our link. Occasionally a programme offers our readers a discount; if so, we say so.
Our editors choose products independently, before considering whether an affiliate programme exists. We include items from retailers that pay us nothing. An affiliate relationship does not mean we endorse a brand, and it never results in a more favourable review.
